What are the Gibraltar Philatelic Bureau's working hours?
Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 1pm - 2pm to 5pm

How long after the date of issue is it possible to purchase Stamps and FDC's?
Stamps and FDC's can only be obtained for eighteen months after the date of issue.

What is the difference between 'mint' & 'cancelled' stamps?
Mint is when stamps have not been used for postage and has not been 'cancelled'. A mint stamp should be in pristine condition. Cancelled (bearing a postmark) is the 'mark' used by postal administrations worldwide to indicate that a stamp has been used for postal purposes and cannot be reused.

What is a Standing Order?
A Standing Order is an authorization to make regular periodic shipments of our products as requested by yourself. Go to our Standing Orders page.

What is a 'Shopping Cart'?
Just like in a supermarket you may go thorugh the site adding products you may wish to buy. Adding an item to your shopping bag does not commit you to buying it - it simply allows you to collect together all the products that you're interested in so that you can review them before deciding to buy.From here you may remove items or proceed to the next stage of the payment procedure.

What does 'View Cart' mean?
Clicking on 'View Cart' enables you to see the items in your 'shopping cart'

What does 'checkout' mean?
Checkout is just like the checkout till in a shop (except money is not debited from your account until we confirm acceptance of your order). When you are happy with the items in your Shopping Cart, you proceed to the checkout to place your order. At the checkout, you can choose your delivery method, redeem a discount voucher/gift certificate and update your delivery details before finalising your order.

What methods of payment are there?
Cheque: The cheapest method of payment is by personal cheque in your own currency. This way you avoid paying an exchange fee.

Visa, Eurocard/Mastercard and Access: If you are a subscriber, you can pay your subscription fee automatically with your credit card. All you have to do is fill out a form - which we will send you - permitting us to debit your credit card account as required.
